Golf season is here and we want to help you create an awesome impact position by improving your release so here we're going to combine a drill a med ball movement and a test [Music] let's get to the drill and this is a simple one that we used before this is the pre-set drill okay so what you're going to do is increase the ability of the hands to rotate the face relative to your path now in terms of actually making this work you need to have an into out path and then a rotating face which is going to be close to the path but open to the target you don't know what that means don't worry about it we'll figure it out okay let's do this drill first so what you're going to do you're going to set up in your normal golf posture and you are going to pre-set the release okay so here we're actually going to flip the hands forwards and this is going to help us to take away any static tension and also guide us to hit through with that extended release on an into out path okay so by presetting that position forward we essentially tell the club tell ourselves where the club needs to go we are then going to take it into our backswing and then fluently release through okay so you're gonna have really soft hands you have a nice passive motion to hit the body rotate and that club is just gonna release through the ball with a really nice face closure rate and help you to hit some nice high draws hey guys so now you've got a drill that makes your ball striking super easy and super consistent so let's add some speed and some power this is going to be the step to rotational med ball press okay number one always train both sides we say that every week guys we want balance throughout the system we want to be able to create speed and decelerate globally okay number two we want to match this up to the sequence of your golf swing and the posture as much as possible so we can transfer the skill set and the physical attributes over to your swing okay so you're gonna stand a reasonable distance away from the wall I'm using a five kilo about an eleven pound ball basically you can go as heavy as you want to as long as you can still create speed okay you can start we feet together we're then going to step into it rotate the body fire the hips fire the torso and then release right at the end okay that's the kinematic sequence we're looking for in your swing and we're looking for the same here with this med ball slam okay so that's what we do we're going to help you hit the ball better and then we're going to give you the physical ability to hit it harder hit it further and just become better the whole way through an incredible important piece of that is tracking your progress and this week we've got a new performance tracking in the golf world app and this is one of the tests guys all right so let's have some fun basically you're gonna grab a slightly heavier med ball we're gonna go 15 pounds around seven kilograms and we're going to test exactly how far you can throw that ball okay we're going to use the same sequence we're going to have that step and the aim is to create enough distance to travel 24 feet all right rabbit tape measure we're going gonna test both sides see if you can pass the test so it's time to get to work number one hit the drill number two let's start to train with the best workouts in golf stand with a rotational med ball slam we need to get the golf what app guys alright and you're going to need it as well if you want to track your performance over time from strength to power endurance flexibility score balance yeah we got it all going on guys big updates coming this week so make sure you check it out have fun with the testing and see how far you can take the game guys all right so if you haven't already subscribe to the channel because you know we golf strong [Music]
