· auto-generatedLonger straighter drives a three-part video series with everything you need to rip your driver in 2023 [Music] we are here on the Range this January is cold but it's pre-seasoned and it's time to do some work today we're going to run you through how we get the swing moving we're going to look specifically at the drive we've got a new spec we've got the new TaylorMade stealth two Outdoors for the first time and we're going to give you all the feels of how we hit the driver well why I'm looking for a my swing then we're going to give you one of the best drills possible with three hacks that you can take to the course so that you can practice better hit the driver better and then when the season comes around you are ready to roll before we start this video I'm going to tell you about this warm three movements I do every single time whether I'm practicing or teeing it up for real we're going to show you how to execute how long it's going to take and how many reps you need so you can play a better golf all right that's in part two make sure you check it out back to the video so hidden under the OG golf what head cover we got the new TaylorMade stealth 2 plus all right so this is the first time out on the course done some indoor testing a little chilly today so we're gonna have to get the body moving but basically stealth 2 plus my spec is 90 degree head down two degrees it's actually playing at seven okay so high speeds I'm looking to minimize spin whilst getting the optimal launch all right so seven degrees I've got the Hazardous smirk green all right so this is the one that's been in for a bag it's a long time it's 60 TX Hulk shaft super strong super low launch finished off with the full card tour velvet four wraps pretty thick all right so 45. 25 inches it's been going pretty good in the studio we're going to tell you exactly how this is working out on the cars right now I'm going to focus in on rotation posture and speed [Music] three things all golfers need to hit the drive that longer and straighter number one is posture your ability to stay in position through the swing balance and create stability because without stability doesn't matter how much speed you've got you're going to be too erratic and inconsistent in terms of posture we need a lower body functioning against the ground an active core neutral spine that allows awesome rotation foreign number two rotation being able to turn around the spine get at least 90 degrees of shoulder turn so the club is traveling on a long enough Arc around the body to create ideally an interrupt path with a positive angle of attack so we're hitting from the inside we're hitting up that is how you get high launch low spin maximize the potential of the technology the awesome new drivers that you can get in your bag and that's how you hit it long and straight with awesome consistency Factor number three is speed lots of elements here number one is that warm-up and that Mobility aspect we're looking at in video two then we've got the train inside we need the body to be able to deliver speed and force whenever necessary in a sequence motion we're going to look at that in video three and also when you're on the Range have some swings where you do swing a little bit harder okay so think of it as a spectrum we need a hundred percent to be going high and higher so there are 80 90 feel swing that we use on the course is also going higher but then we retain that control take the peak higher take your own course higher that's how we golf strong feels when I'm able to drive number one you got to get that trail short and nice and low we want to be launching it high so in terms of your posture that's going to give you that little bit of tilt to the trail side that sets your launch angle that's huge okay from here we're looking at that rotational aspect I like to have at least one waggle where I feel as of the right glute my Trill glue engages I just feel that club work in a way behind the ball all right so that's that rotational aspect in terms of Speed The Challenge is always it's complete the backswing transition down with power and then put the speed into the ball it's a pretty solid little push that's the kind of reality of practicing out in the winter it's freezing cold and we're straight into the wind but we're working on it guys all right so that's where that warm-up comes in so super important and that's where you need to get your drills keep the body moving get everything where it's going all right so one of the best feels I've ever had is that when you take the driver back we're going to get that lead shoulder behind the ball foreign so when I get a lead shoulder back that means we're getting to that 90 or more degrees of shoulder turn that's huge if you want to create the full power full load through the system and that's where that drill in a few minutes is going to take you when I feel as I actually load and rotate around that trail side then the muscles are stretched everything's loaded you can start to use the ground and that's where you can hear the driver pretty good foreign I actually hit that one pretty straight the 20 mile an hour headwind freezing cold temperatures I mean it didn't go too far but that was a good swing guys all right so that was our feel everything loads up you feel that trail foot press against the ground and you can explode and get after all right so I'm gonna hit one more before he hits this drill those are my standard swings typical flight is just that little draw between your phone and 10 yards ideally and then when you've got a little bit more space or if you're just trying to build some speed you can increase that footwork and get things going a little bit more so stem waggle step and they'll be afraid to take it up a notch all right so that's one thing with a speed side you have to try and hit it fast you have to get after it we need some speed in there if you're going to take it to that next level so those are the three factors I'm working on posture rotation and speed and this drill is going to help you do exactly the same okay guys so if you want to work on your posture rotation or your speed one of the best drills you can do is the backswing loading drill okay so we're actually going to hit with this variation you're going to drop it down and with a secondary Club we're going to line up this position here inside the trail foot okay so ball position is always going to be towards that lead heel you can tweak it slightly further back your more likely to hit down further forwards you're likely to hit up but it's all about face rotation okay so in line with that left heel line the club up to the quad is a pretty good position from here what we're going to work on and you can drill it a couple of times before you hit is that when you turn back you're going to get your lead shoulder in line or behind the club on the ground okay so you can see here the line on the ground matches the angle of the shoulders that means that once we've got to that position we've got a nice visual on how far we can turn the shoulders how we then create widths at the top the excellent backswing Position will loaded against the trail side we've got that full body rotation and that means the club's behind us so when we then rotate down we bring the club in from an into our position with maximal load and rotation into the ball all right so in terms of your posture you're hitting that great position at the top because you're loading against the ground this is directly impacting your rotation because you're going to get to at least 90 degrees and then in terms of your speed with good posture and rotation you can make a good swing means you're going to get more power at the ground and more speed overall foreign today guys all right so got my shoulder to that position at the back really does work as a visual to get your body in that position where once you actually reach the back of the swing you got a checkpoint you hit position you match up and then it's all about just changing direction all right so think of the swing like anything else is equal and opposite reactions okay if we use the ground well for loading on the way back if we create a full turn going back as well there's a very good chance we're actually going to do that into the bot okay and that's where position that's where performance comes from because at certain point you can step up you can get that lead shoulder back and you can actually start to perform pretty good because you've got one simple checkpoint from this awesome drill of getting that lead shoulder all the way back loading against the trail side and then go to the Target guys all right so use this drill there's many reps as you can you can use it all the way through the back you can hit you can line it up with anything at home just to get that body turning but you know once you hit that checkpoint of lining the shoulders up to the line on the ground you've completed the back swing we can squat we can use the ground we can turn to the Target and just Let It Go full send because they we're pretty good on course hacks to take your performance to your t-box alright number one don't use too short of a t okay what's going to happen is you're more likely to hit down you're likely to hit lower on the face you're going to see a lower launch more spin which means less distance instead grab a couple of extra inches heat up as high as you can while still hitting the center of the face slightly higher on the face is actually often the hottest point and here you're going to swing up you're going to get your positive angle of attack four high launch lower spin maxing out the stealth technology and that is where distance lives Simple cars hack number two high hands well balanced finish all right so if here you swing out of balance the hands go low through impact and you don't complete the swing we're going to hit a low cut that means no distance and a bad shot but if you use this drill and if you start to commit to the driver with a full rotation you can get to a classic High hand finish with full rotation meaning you can release the face hit up on the ball and hit those long powerful draws simple hack number three intent get that psychology right with the mindset that if you are hitting the driver we're trying to hit it hard we're trying to hit it far so when you commit the results are going to be there for you foreign the new stealth 2. We're out here ripping it we're feeling good we can't wait for the season guys check out part two make sure you subscribe like tell your friends you'll get a free trial to the golf one app and then it's on to part two so that we can golf strong [Music]
