Breaking 80 turning your swear into ball striking rotation [Music] in this series we are going to help you create a better rotation for your golf swing so you can break eight episode one and we are looking at the swim this is how the body moves side to side instead of around and that is going to create poor ball striking ball consistency and mean you don't hit it as far as you can so that's something you're going to want to work on and that is what we are going to get to right now to improve your swear you must first identify the movement and what we would Define as a square is when the body moves outside of your base of support when you are videoing your own swing or analyzing your movement what you want to look for is where the hips travel during the swing from a fair sound view if they travel outside of the feet you are swayed in the swing down the line you will see how the club travels and it's not going to get far enough behind you to create depth and that is where you really lose out on power speed and consistency what we want to do is help you improve this motion so that you can break eight and to improve what you need to do is to reduce the sideways motion and create more of a rotational pattern so the club can travel around your body and get back to the ball in the same way which is where you level up power speed and consistency do so you're gonna need either an exercise band or a kettlebell do the it's the rotational swing here we have to rotate the body and use the ground better to create the force needed to execute this movement whether using a band or the Kettlebell that's going to transfer into your swing it's going to give you the physical capacity to make the changes you need to break eight with the band you can attach to a lower Point once fixed you're gonna then stand into your golf posture and then rotate into your Trail side once you then press against that trail side we rotate the body from the ground up working the legs then the hips then the Torso on finally the arms to turn your body as far as possible to what would be the Target and extend the band in that rotational path repeat the motion work back into the ground and always work both sides level two would be using a kettlebell here we use the same movement pattern the same sequence but we load the movement to increase your strength and power output potential and create additional challenges across the body so you have to activate the car activate the loops and create power through kinematic sequels now we have identified your swear and giving you the movements to get your body in a better position time to improve your swing what we really want you to focus on is how when we load the patterns you have to rotate the hips inside of the heels to create that solid movement pattern okay from there we're also going to push off the ground see the body and rotate around your center of gravity create a simple and effective golf swing this will help you to get the hands further behind the body more in line with where we need them to be to create the impact factors we need and the body will be in control of your swing so it becomes far more repeatable and more consistent as you continue to work we add in any additional elements you need to create a ball flight that you want and you then create a body-led swing that is going to deliver incredible results and help you break it if you don't have any equipment or if you want to take this drill to the range of course grab a couple of clubs and let's line up this rotation you're going to have one club on the ground inside the trail foot the other club will go across your shoulders you're going to take your gold posture and you're going to rotate backwards in swear you will find that the club on the ground gets closer to the center of our body and the top club is not going to rotate that far if we rotate properly we will find the trailhead working inside the line on the ground and you're then going to try and rotate far enough to match the shaft in alignment you can see here my shoulder at 90 degrees the hips are inside the heels and we have got all the way to parallel with those shafts very simple golf posture rotate and load against the ground it's an awesome drill at home where you are right now or at the range or the cost this was episode one and we fixed your swim episode two we are looking at the sequence of the swing and if you want to improve between now and then you can grab your workout right here a trend like you play or you can get the golf watt app and level up all things golf fairness all right tell your friends subscribe to the channel and do the work so you can also [Music]
