· auto-generatedOfficial shaft length matters [Music] we are here at DRVN studios and we're going to test out the difference between my gamer a standard length driver built to my specification and a super long drive build guys we're gonna clip it straight into the head we're gonna show you the difference between club head speed and distance okay guys so we're gonna look at it we're gonna see what the benefits are and we're gonna see exactly what you should do for your game and how much the chasing of distance is going to impact on your performance my current gamer as you can see from the numbers we're in the 120 club head speed car speed you're going to be looking 123 124 relatively speaking I can fluctuate but that's where we're at ball speed's gonna be coming out anywhere between 180 and 185 spin we keep it low around here guys we've got 6. 5 degrees of loft super low spin head so anywhere around 2000 or slightly lower means it's going out there pretty flat okay guys that's giving us a total we've got carry anywhere around the 300 number and then turtle relative to the royal we've got standard settings in here 330 340. Okay so pretty happy with those numbers and this is what gets it done as I said we've got the stealth plus love this head built by the best and we are on the lower setting so about 6.
5 degrees and we're playing the rdx smoke green okay 65 tx and it's tipped one inch at 45. 25 inches okay so that's pretty much a standard length driver and this thing allows me to hit it hard keep control and get it out there with some real distance guys all right awesome driver now let's try this long driver heating up in here guys all right reps plus the long driver is go [Music] okay so not necessarily my spec lightweight not too strong and 47. 5 inches play in length okay so again obviously the further club it travels the more potential for speed let's see how it looks [Music] hey guys so there you have it yeah you can swing faster with a longer shaft over the cost of those reps we've seen pretty much a four mile an hour increase on club head speed and pretty much the same on ball speed however the longest carry distances and the longest drives were pretty much reserved for the gamer and that's because it's built to my specs it's on point and launch mechanics ball flight numbers spin are all matched up to where they need to be so when you actually get into the air the ball's doing what it wants to do whereas with a long driver you can pretty much do anything and obviously if you match it up and really spend the time there you can get that long drive on point however dispersion is going down and you're not necessarily gaining distance guys all right so in terms of shaft length yes it matters you can swing faster with a longer club but it's not necessarily going to give you the gains that you are looking for guys right doesn't mean I'm going to not try to go faster because we certainly are guys I was expecting that 130 190 plus number today however wasn't quite to be but over the course of this next few weeks it's back on guys right we're going to see that 200.
All right so if you get a chance to hit a long driver go try it out see how it feels because it is a different feeling and then express that into your game so you can keep pushing the boundaries of performance appreciate you watching the video make sure you check out the goal for that because that is where you really get in speed and if you haven't already subscribe to the channel golf strong [Music] you
