The Ultimate Golf stretch [Music] [Applause] so this is the seated rotational Matrix and the key is that we're going to create contraction at the end so that we stretch the musculature and improve your rotation so in terms of your rotation the more we can separate the upper and lower body the more we can stretch the muscles the more effective and consistent our swing can be this stretch comes from direct work with high level physios where we look at PNF stretching how you actually create contraction to increase your range of mush here we do with the band so you can do it on your own anytime and see the huge benefits all right and this is going to help you create more power create a more consistent swing and reduce injuries because you're going to rotate better and that is good for the body and it's good for your swing you're gonna need a bench and at least one bath to fix to an upright because we're going to rotate around the spine and we're going to change how you rotate we have four variations of movement so we're going to start off by sitting and facing the bands okay so take your seat and here the first thing to do every single time you do this movement is to ensure you have a neutral spine so we're in a good tall position any slouching we're not going to be able to use the musculature well and it's not good for the body so set your posture first and then take a hold of one of the Bands when facing forwards we're going to work across the body and go into that rotational pattern and each time we're going to go a little further so as you stretch the band initially and obviously you can vary the tension of the band relative to where you want to be and how much progress you are making you are going to stretch and hold at end range for five to ten seconds once you've hit this first rep return to Center reset and then this time you're going to travel just a little but okay and that really is the benefit of PNF stretching we're going to go to that end range hold we relax and then when we reset into the end range the next time it's going to be that little bit more travel okay that is where you are actively increasing your flexibility your mobility and in terms of your golf swing that is where you are loading into the rotational pattern around the spine even better every single time so it's completely other variations number one you can then take the band from the oppose inside and rotate in the opposite direction obviously this will work into your back swing and your through swing work on each equally to create balance in the body and then to turn it around entirely you are going to face away from the bands here you will actively rotate on the opposing Direction and that gives us a complete Matrix all four directions rotating in different ways and creating contractions that are going to help you function better move better and swing better that is why this is the ultimate golf stretch again this is something that I've done myself with the assistance of highly trained physios this is the way that you can do it anytime anywhere and at zero cost that's how you improve your game and that is how you make progress guys alright so if you've enjoyed this video make sure you tag Us in let's hear your progresses hear how you feel it's subscribe to the app make sure you get your free trial get started out because there's this and so much more else in the app in terms of training and getting better and then subscribe to the channel and golf strong [Music]
