The BIG Three Training Levels
publicDRVN organizes all training plans and outcomes around three clear levels — Wellness, Fitness, and Performance. Each reflects not just physical capacity but available time, goals, and the role golf plays in the person's life. The same framework applies to every golfer; the interpretation adapts to the individual.
| Level | Weekly Time | Primary Goal | Key Tool |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wellness | ≤ 2 hrs | Improve how the body moves; remove barriers to movement | Mobility assessment |
| Fitness | 3–6 hrs | Structured strength, power & measurable gains | Golf Fitness Handicap™ + clubhead speed |
| Performance | 7+ hrs | Express capacity with intent, timing & specificity | Periodized phases around the competitive calendar |
How the levels build
- Wellness establishes movement quality, foundational capacity, and resilience — short, lifestyle-based, minimal equipment, year-round. Without it, fitness gains are fragile.
- Fitness loads the body intentionally with periodization and progressive overload; movement quality and mobility remain non-negotiable underneath.
- Performance is defined by context, not different exercises — volume, frequency, and intent are managed around peaks and tapers so capacity shows up when it matters.
Training is applied across the levels in Module 6 — Training Application, and the level maps onto the underlying movement-capacity stages (Recovery → Flexibility → Mobility → Performance).
