· auto-generatedWhat's up girl fans we've got three banded movements for some distraction at the giants of movement into that capsule right here focusing in on those hips the glutes the power area basically what's connecting our upper and lower body and delivering so much power in our swing all right so activation freedom range of motion is huge here and that's what this is gonna do okay so number one we're just gonna go into that forward lunge we're gonna take the band and you can use a pretty strong band here guys where we want some good tension because that's what's creating a room in the joint okay as this is pulling the your mass away you're resisting it's just opening things up right so right through the middle of the quad you take a big step forwards with that leg and then even bigger step forwards with the opposing leg okay we're going to a simple lunge position this is working that hip flexor it's working this whole area here now because that band is trying to pull you back okay so when you're here as you're resisting against again you're getting that different level of relaxation and activation we're opening things up and maintaining your body positions guys okay so again if we just kind of stay loose here we get that rounded back you're not really working the hip flexor so we want to activate the glute that's going to release the hip flexor at the front okay so as we do so tall spine cause acting and we're in a great position so right now that hip flexor is feeling really good we're just gonna work out with you can actually switch on switch up on and off through that glute as well and that's that reciprocal inhibition allowing that freedom through the hip and to the glute okay so this is that forward lunge this is opening it out real nice and this is something that I could probably do for about three hours a day all right probably won't have time for that but it does work okay next it's gonna be very similar but you're just gonna do it laterally okay so this time instead of all that force going through the glute and the hip flexor now we're gonna get into the different areas of the glute musculature and this one's going to be lateral so here we create some really nice space okay so again band can go a little bit lower probably just above the knee at this point you take that forward lunge bring yourself down make sure the tension is there on that natural and then obviously we're kind of doing the same thing we're just engaging different musculature okay good position staying natural and we're just trying to resist that band so you keep your foot engaged keep yourself up and now we're working all the way through the rest of the glute and the hip okay staying up breathing is good and you'll start to feel little muscles little areas that may not be as active as the glute maximus that kind of deal where we're starting to get into the fixed set of muscles different areas and that's huge okay we want everything working together as much as possible and again you can kind of switch on switch off just to give you the activation and that awareness if you choose to guys okay so obviously always work both sides and it's going to be pretty effective okay so this final one this is something actually more to do with alignment of the hips okay and this is something we see with everyone because of day-to-day habits for the mostly golf obviously the golf swing is a unilateral motion but even things about how you sit how you stand how you run your hip imbalance can be pretty significant okay and once that happens anything else can happen okay this is something that so many people have to deal with it's good to have an option to work your way through this all right so this time you're gonna take the band and you're going to resist against it this time active okay so from this position we're lying flat you're going to bring your other leg up so this leg is pulling towards and what you're going to try and do with the other leg is push against your hand okay so here we're trying to create that equilibrium we're really working hard and this one's pretty uncomfortable okay there's a lot of tension on that band we're trying to push pull and that's going to help you realign your hips okay so this is something that I work with a physio from time to time and creating that pressure where we're working opposites it's huge for the car obviously with our focus it's even more impactful for balance on the hips okay as soon as you get that little shift things get tricky things get dicey okay so this is going to help you level back up create kind of equal levels of activation through both glutes and take out some of those imbalances that we don't want to have as golfers okay again three banding movements for the hips the glutes and three things that you can do as often as possible to level up your body and level up your gear
