The season is here guys right we're going to deliver the best golf fitness so that you can play your best and improve your health your lifestyle and your fitness all right guys and today is one of the best moves we got it's the switch stance torso rotation okay so we're going to use a band we're going to rotate like a pro and we're going to go through some really dynamic footwork just like the masters champ scotty chef [Music] okay guys so again banded training is some of our most popular in terms of training all the way through the year we can match that up with loading with strength training with power and speed or you can just use the bands you can have the external tension and just basically put yourself in a performance mindset and performance physically all the way through the year okay guys so we want to dial this one up because you can make some serious gains okay and in terms of how this relates to the swing again it's unilateral stability in the lower body okay because we switch the feet we have to maintain our spine angle we have to be quick we have to use the ground and understand how to manage our center of gravity and when you think about that during the swing as the pressure shifts around the body we've got to understand how to maintain position because if we start moving around our chances of creating consistent ball striking go down okay guys there's lots of variation but basically the more solid you can be and the more speed you can create through the ground the more likely you are to get that contact okay guys and that's the next facet here as well nice speed once you've gone through that switch stance set down into that posture engage the glutes and then really solidify the core and the spine angle we rotate the upper body with speed against that banded variable tension which means that we're just working directly into that pattern okay so those two factors into your swing are huge again you know about the swing once we can sequence and use the ground the upper body rotation delivers the speed from the ground through the torso through the arms and into the club all right that's the kinematic sequence and that's what all the best players do so well guys all right so to take that into the swing we want to be focusing on how we shift into that trail foot how the trail glute loads and heightens slightly to get that nice position at the top and then we work the opposite direction okay lower body first then toss up and deliver okay guys so this is one of the best movements you can do it anywhere you can do as a warm-up you can do as part of a full workout as long as you're doing it you're making some progress guys right so in terms of execution we are going to fix the band just below chest height laterally okay and yes always train both sides guys right does no matter which way your you swing we're looking to create balance throughout the whole system number one for performance you get the anti-rotation element but also for longevity all right as soon as we started seeing too many imbalances from just hitting the ball one way the whole time your likelihood of injury just creeps a little bit guys all right so we're gonna have it fixed to the side we're gonna take it out to very little tension and we're gonna go into that pallof press guys right so the arms are in front that gives us a good position okay that engages the core and you keep those eyes fixed okay from there we're going to switch the feet so we're already in that lunge that split stance we switch feet back and through so we're back to that original position maintaining the upper body centered dynamic and good positioning through the spine to then rotate okay so once those feet have switched we keep our eyes fixed forward turn the body with all the speed that we've got you're gonna look for about 90 degrees we turn back stabilize set the feet again stabilize and rotate okay guys so really want to be focusing in on how you manage your upper body against the ground to then fire that rotation okay in terms of strength of band grab a level that allows you to move fast but feels increased tension obviously as you work through the range okay because if you go too strong you're not going to quite hit that full range of motion we wanted to be getting to about 90 degrees guys all right so hit a few reps here we're going to drop a workout set for you in the caption down below but if you can nail this movement you are going to improve your game you're going to improve your balance accuracy awareness speed an awful lot of fit in this guys right because golf fitness is finished okay one more of this head over check out the golf ball out now because we delivered the best workouts fully programmed and designed for your game all season long guys alright if you haven't already subscribe to the channel tell your friends golf strong [Music]
