You've got a lot to answer for [Music] you naughty little elf you have been telling people that it is bad to live with if you want to play a good golf that is not true you know it's not true guys lifting weights is going to help you move better feel better and also increase your longevity through stability and durability obviously you're going to gain a bit of strength and power as well so more speed and more distance one place two star the simple kettlebell swing here we're going to use the ground we're going to Prime the posterior chair get some awesome core engagement it's a super simple place to start if you want to do so grab a kettlebell we're gonna go just about shoulder width apart with the feet and keep them flat to the ground the whole time you are going to hinge by pushing the hip backwards spine nice and neutral the kelvis the Kettlebell stays high at the thighs you're going to hinge and fire the hip so here we leverage the ground we use the whole of the lower body fire it through the upper body to create some significant strength power and stability gains help you play a better golf now where did the elf get to right now static stretching is not enough to get better at golf you can lengthen a muscle but you have to be able to use it if you want to improve so it's time to get dynamic that's right guys static stretching can be helpful the muscle needs to be able to get to length to function however if all you do is sit in a static pause and lengthen things out you're not going to make performance incremental progress all right we need to get Dynamic and one of the best is going to use a club it's going to focus in on the lower body also going to get some good upper body posture here we're going to go to the three step hip opener you're going to go into a lunge position and stand neutral that means the hip is over the knee and the spine is neutral all the way through reach out in front use the club to balance and then he either go into a forward lunge hold for a few seconds getting that trail hip flexor are you then going to step back to Center and step out to 45 degrees so now we get a little bit hip rotation we're starting to open up and feel all that extra movement coming in we step and work out down 90 degrees the hips now at a totally different angle we work back step into it Fox on your breathing and then hit every single breath so here actively work through the range of motion and bring in the static element and then you work on those Mobility programs in the golf hot app to get more and more Dynamic build your rotation and actually get better at golf the else can again what dude you okay yeah all right so you've been telling people that go for these just crossed for right again not true yes guys we're on a CrossFit gym we love CrossFit but golf watt is so much more than that number one it's built on being a PGA professional coaching thousands of golfers over time and understanding the mechanics of the swing and then also every different aspect of Fitness all right functional fitness is definitely the best it's hugely per hugely impactful for every type of person and you can scale it up but also we got an awful lot more going into it guys all right one way that we can show you that is with one of the best drills you can do anywhere anytime with just an exercise band okay this is a swing elevation drill you're gonna put it under your lead foot for your golf swing and then take a grip with your Trail arm what we're trying to do here is create speed access speed load and then height in the back swing with an awesome rotational pattern so instead of just trying to work around your Trail side we're going to elevate we're going to work against the ground we're going to get as tall as we can our spring full upper body rotation so be aggressive sit you do this you can work right around the spine create an awesome rotation and create the additional height going back so that you can then unload use the ground use that reactionary Force to power your golf swing with everything you got and absolutely smirk it guys all right I think the elf's all right but he's gone again Elfie come on man when you're in the gym you got to do some work you need to have some focus and an actual plan so you can make some progress dude you know what I'm saying guys it's far too easy to be in the gym or specifically with golf to be on the Range practicing and not doing anything that is going to be impactful in terms of your actual progress all right if you're in there in the gym sounding fun a couple of sets here a couple of sets there you're not really hitting that progress guys right you're also wasting your time when you're not benefiting as much as you could okay same for the rich this is something that we really want to work on and help you get better at when you're on a range you can smash 50 drivers and have no real recall of how to do it better same with the irons wedges whatever so use the rangeward function in the golf world app to give you sets and Reps for the cost just like in the gym where you want to be hitting specific numbers specific percentages over a periodized amount of time on the Range we can be having sets reps and having some fun as well as making way more progress guys right like right now little taste I'm gonna hit a 10 ball Hammer got 10 shots we need to hit the Box three times or more oh we gotta do a hundred thousand meter ski before the end of the day ah The Christmas Story with a happy ending guys elf is back in his happy place and he got the golf whatever so you sit on everything we just talked about he's a happy elf he's having a good Christmas we hope you do too guys right if you want to get set for all of those things and so much more into 2023 do what Elfie did and go and get the golf what app all right subscribe to the channel make sure you hit like again have a great Christmas and for me I got some skiing to do foreign [Music]
