· auto-generatedStiff lower back this one movement can fix it we don't want any golfer or anyone at all to suffer with a lower back and everything that comes with that because it takes away your Mobility takes away your confidence and it impacts your golf swing so we're looking at one movement today with three levels that anybody can do to create room in the spine and to create freedom of motion that is going to be huge for your everyday life and for your golf swing the cool thing is you can start with just two minutes with a golf club on the course or wherever you are right now and what we're looking to do is to segment the spine so obviously you've got your discs all the way through we're now looking to create some space that compression that people talk about the discs get too close and you don't have enough movement so we're trying to create some space and some Freedom so to execute here you're going to stand with your feet underneath your hips Club out in front and the key is to go as close to disc by disk piece by piece as you can so we're not bending over we're not pushing our hips back you're going to start by Rolling the head down get your chin down and then try and go piece by piece all the way down so keep that club plus do it in control and if you start to feel the legs tightening up bend the knees a little bit more and we can get some more range of motion and when you're down at the bottom we're just going to hang those arms down and everything work hold for around 10 seconds breathe through and then repeat on the way up so don't just stand up go from the bottom first the scoop under go through the middle of the back work your way up stay around on the chin and then stand up tall we know that the spine is doing an awful lot during your swing we've got all different kind of movements and force and we've got all different kinds of golf swing as well the stresses the force and everything that goes with it we have to look after our back otherwise we're going to run into issues all right and that could mean less golf that can mean poor ball striking that could mean aches and pains all day long we don't like any of those so here with this one fix you're gonna make some progress we're gonna go again so chin tucks down work through every vertebra down to the feet get that range of motion and hold work your way back up it feels great and you can go through that as many times as you want to this is one version just with the club we're gonna head to the gym right now with two more versions that can help you with this even more level two is to use support you can use some strong bands a strap anything that's going to really support your whip if you are going to use the bands disclaimer on getting in and out it's not easy foreign we'll kick it all right so what we need to do here is just let the band take our weight we're going to step out same thing don't get too much tension in the legs we want to all going through the spine and then just trust the band all the strap to take your weight and go deeper into that movement so again from the neck chin down work through the thoracic all the way through the spine make sure you're under tension lower down and then really lean forwards it's going to hold the hips back it's going to allow you to go deeper and deeper into that position get totally loose at the top loosen down and then scoop bring it back piece by piece all the way to the top just allows you to go a little deeper and get more relief more freedom level three we're gonna load up and we're going to go into the Jefferson curl okay again same idea this time we're going to use lud okay so make sure you get wet where you can work through this range of motion comfortably and with great control so here very much the same thing starting that neutral spine work your way down piece by piece on a solid surface and this time instead of having that support the Lord is going to take you into an even deeper position so breathing at the bottom really feel it through the lumbar right up through the hull of the back relax and let yourself stretch out before you then work up again bottom of the spine first through the middle and up to the top again it feels great when you get this done it really does work and you can do it as often as you choose to so keep the pressure even between the feet let the Kettlebell just extend that length and just get deeper in there and when you do this correctly as we said we're opening up the spine we're reducing any potential compression now it's going to help you play a better golf now and for a better golf for longer so put this into your daily routine whether you're playing or not try and get some movement into the spine look after your body because it will look after your game as well clearly there are an awful lot of other factors to get into in terms of your spinal health and your overall Mobility hip flexors glutes thoracic spine everything we do on a daily basis takes its top so paying attention to that putting in place routines habits stretching Mobility that are going to help you out is going to be huge for your body and for your gear more to
