· auto-generatedIf you're a golfer, you got some dumbbells and want to build muscle across the chest and improve your core, do this workout set now. Starting with the asymmetrical bench press. From there, stand yourself up, bring one overhead, and go into an asymmetrical carry.
Then finish with a side plank. Work the side of your core, the obliques, to make your swing stable all the way around. Three sets of 20 reps on the bench press, 20 m walk, and then a 40-second side plank is going to give you an incredible workout for the upper body.
And it transfers to your swing because as we work asymmetrically, you're understanding where the core is and how to deliver force at different times. That's what the golf swing does. If you get more power out of your chest, you will hit longer drives.
