that a thing of the past and any golfer can do them even on the first te these will make a difference you will feel more flexible you will feel less restricted and you will give yourself the best chance of creating a repeatable consistent golf swing throughout the whole round so you can play well hit good shots and shoot the scares that you want to see we're going to take this to the course and test it out shortly but first we're going to coach you through the three simple movements and remember if you want to get your golf Fitness in the best place that's ever been go ahead and get your free trial to the golf W app now our first exercise is the single leg RDL this is about stability and balance because we really using our footwork to engage the ground we have to use the whole body to stay in position and you can add the rotation if you can get it done so to execute we're going to hinge down on one leg stretching the hamstring loading the lower body and then we Engage The Hip through the glute to bring ourselves back to standing so we stretch and lower down using our torso and the trail leg to create our center of gravity that tabletop position allows us to balance and we can work that lower body AC activation huge for your balance because it's hard to stay on one leg now if you are able to do so add that rotation this is more difficult as we go into that single leg we stabilize at the bottom rotate over that lead leg and return to standing this is awesome for your swing because the legs are doing the stability and then we're rotating through the upper body creating that separation so we go back down hinge rotate stabilize and finish movement two is about your range of motion and stability again okay that is a theme we want to get as much out of these exercises as we can we're going into the split stance overhead tilt now the spine angle during the swing is huge if you can't maintain your positioning number one you're going to hit bad shots number two you're probably going to hurt your back you're going to get those injuries so we want to get moving and we want to be stable when we do so we go to our split stance position hips Direct L between the feet so we have this nice balanced active position we're not leaning forwards or back from here take the club overhead and then you are going to tilt over that lead side as far as you can stretching down the side of the body and then return to Center what we don't want to see is a massive shift away as we compromise our Movement we want to try and stay as stable as possible through our centri of gravity so we can do that in our swing as well so we reach you can do this with any club stabilize your position tilt over that lead leg you'll feel the stretch all down the side of your body hold control your breathing and then return to Center we always do the exercises on both sides of the body because we got move in both directions the side of the body is huge for the swing we got lots of muscles in there that are going to be active and keeping your spine mobile and ready to go will help your golf swing every swing of the day if final exercise is the switch stance torso rotation Dynamic all about balance all about stability and all about rotation so we're building on the first two exercises we're increasing the heart rate and we're making sure that when you put that first swing on the ball you're fast you're stable and you hit great shot so here go into that split stands position again we stabilize we get ready you have to be dynamic here and then we're going to switch our feet okay so Club goes out in front we elevate to switch and then rotate over the lead side okay so do this in control first and build speed as you feel comfortable so switch rotate and that is how you get the whole body firing not only in terms of muscular activation but also your awareness of your movement your control of those patterns and you're going to increase that heart rate a little okay we need the body to be flowing we want the Mind fired up and ready to go okay so again you're working both sides you're going to get that balance set down low switch and rotate do this one well and there's every reason to think that when you go to deliver the swing your lower body is going to be stable you're going to be Ro able to rotate through the hips stabilize at the top and then turn all of that potential energy of the swing into a great golf shot getting those hips and those lights oh it feels good get those lights oh that right hip little sticky that left car active oh no car active rotate balance we're going to switch legs drop it in rotate stay upright don't r push there you go left leg is more stable right hip right leg get a little funky there you go look at that ping up on that lead leg loading into that trail side got to be consistent quick feet balance there you go there you go a little tightness in the chest hold that bench press you good to go sit time to put it all to work so in my swing right now I'm trying to increase the load a little bit more lateral going back to create room and shallow it out a little bit into the ball so all of those movements are going to help body's feeling good we can move now I've got a power five winds down off the left we got a bit of trouble right about 270 catch a good one we're going to hook the left side just let it come back to the [Music] middle nailed it so there you have it 5 minutes three exercises and a small amount of effort to give you the best chance to enjoy your round of golf to improve your performance and
