Explains the rotational swing exercise for loading the trail leg and stability, the one move to do mid-season for speed.

· auto-generatedThis is the rotational swing and here are three reasons why you should use it right now to improve your golf swing during the season Recon one is for loading and stability every good golf swing starts from the ground up so we want to train the ability to load into the low body to rotate into the big muscles and then rotate around the spine because when we can create this fully loaded position our body is stable we can generate more Force deliver more speed and be in a more optimal position to reduce injuries niggles aches and pains so you can play better golf so when you use the rotational swing that is what we are going to focus on number one we take our golf posture okay you can see my feet are moving here that allows me to feel connected to the ground and active in my posture okay so we want to feel as our center of gravity is solid the big muscles are active and we're ready to move okay the first thing that we do is ensure that we rotate and load that trail leg okay you'll feel it come all the way up through the big muscles into the glutes and that is the foundation of your swing because if we start with that movement there we can then continue the rotation with the upper body that gives us force and a position to then change direction so we load and turn okay that load is EXT extremely important cuz if we don't use the lower body we're going to have a very hard time creating a strong movement especially when using weight okay in terms of stability we're working the mechanics of the golf swing we're looking for that same sequence and that same pattern of using the lower body first activating the core and then really loading to finish before we then change direction okay you need the low to do so because you're going to start with the low body then you're going to open up the hips and that is when the stability really comes in because at end range you're in control the whole body's working together and using more weight okay that's one of the huge benefits here the golf club is longer it's a smaller head it's more technical when we load the body we create that stimulus where the muscles have to adapt that means your body is literally getting stronger it's getting more stable and it's more capable of producing a really good golf swing yeah reason two is more speed and power how we rip through the ball how we create that sequence that determines how far the ball goes and we're in the middle of the season right now your technique may or may not have changed you might be playing good you might be playing bad but either way if we can improve how the body functions and improve your kinematic sequence you're going to see more progress on the course and you're going to hit longer drives holy cow that was good we hole in one which is where the rotational swing really comes in because we use that loading we use that stability to then move fast with a heavy weight so that we can move the golf club even faster Okay so we've already touched on it the most important factor here is that sequence okay so we load through the big muscles and then when we change direction it's lower body first we open up the hips then we transfer energy through the core and then we turn to the Target and move the W so we load turn okay really fire the hips use the ground and create that nice high position where the kle Bell is just above eye level think about when you're practicing your swing every single shot that you hit you're intent on hitting the best shot that you can do exactly that with your reps here guys all right so ensure that when we load and turn we're really ripping through impact we're creating lots of speed through the middle and the whole body is generating Force okay that is absolutely huge and if you do so you're going to be able to take to take this over to the swing you'll generate more speed your sequence s will be on point and you're going to hit it further factor three is about deceleration and Longevity okay so deceleration means that you can create more speed because the body has to be able to accept that Force otherwise you're injury risk that also impacts your longevity so when you work both sides of the body yes we're getting into that all golf is asked it means you have increased longevity and you can have more balance all right here's why because when we train our non-dominant swing side the whole of that musculature has to adapt and improve and you think about it you're in the middle of the Season you're probably playing a lot of golf imbalances in the body will happen it's an asymmetrical movement okay so here we're trying to catch up your weakest side add symmetry add stability and that means we can then decelerate during the swing okay that's why the best players even though they're swinging the fastest are in balance at the end okay they can control the weight they can finish and the whole body knows how to accept and absorb that Force okay so practicing this with the kettle bell or a dumbbell is going to be huge to ensure that when you do transfer power it knows where to go and we don't just lose our balance or not understand how to stabilize that finishing movement so deceleration is huge and the stability the load and the sequencing when done well is going to strengthen the body improve how you joints function and that is where longevity comes into it far too many golfers think that if they lift weights they're going to get tight it's going to ruin the swing they're going to get more injuries where the opposite really is true if you use the correct weight which as a rule wants to be light enough so your form is excellent you can move the kettle bell fast and develop over time you hit the sequence you hit the quality of movement you're going to strengthen your body you're going to have more active muscles and the joints are going to understand how to stabilize load and transfer Force simply your body is going to be fitter healthier and stronger which means your golf swing is going to be better and you're going to get less injuries because you're putting less stress on it with those mechanics you had before so there are three reasons why you should be using the rotational swing during the season to improve your golf swing okay again start light nail the form and then progress over time as you see that increase in force stability and loading okay and if you want the best programs in golf so that you can put this to use with a real clear focus and a program that's going to get you to your goals head on over and
