Deadlift Strength Test
Testing force potential to assess and improve a golfer’s physical preparedness to deliver an efficient golf swing.

The movement
Two phases, one connected system
Scrub the rep above to move between the two positions, or tap a phase to hold it.
Just like in the golf swing, the setup position is key to creating high-quality movement. Neutral spine, connection to the ground and central-nervous-system control let an individual execute the test well — and it transfers incredibly well to the swing.
The deadlift requires the whole body to work as a system — to move a heavy weight safely, effectively and consistently. Test, track and improve with progressive overload.
Fundamentals
What the test is really measuring
Specific Loading
Using bodyweight-percentage scales lets us test any individual against a scale that relates directly to golf-swing performance potential — a diagnostic system for understanding and progression.
Power & Stability
Developing strength to pass the DRVN test delivers increased power potential, but also enhances durability and injury prevention through added stability and improved body composition.
Full Body
Strength, matched with biomechanics and mobility, allows the golfer to express their mechanics with ultimate freedom through power output, speed and control.
Scoring
Score it against bodyweight
The bodyweight-percentage scale relates directly to golf-swing performance potential. Enter your numbers to see your 1 to 5 score for this test — one of ten scores that build your Golf Fitness Handicap™.
Your 1.53× bodyweight scores 5 of 5 on this test. That is the top score on this test.
Why it matters
Whole-body force, the foundation of strength.
Strength matched with biomechanics and mobility allows the golfer to express their mechanics with ultimate freedom through power output, speed and control. The setup transfers directly to a powerful, repeatable swing.
