And don't worry when we're done in the gym we're going to head back out here we're going to give you our top feels for you to hit big high drawers or powerful feds with the driver it's stealth September and whether you want to hit a draw or a fade off the tee we're going to help you do that and hit it further so how are we going to help you create the swing that you want with your driver off the tee number one we're going to look at the swing mechanics and how the club impacts the ball creating a ball flight that you see and number two we're going to give you the physical tools to improve your swing to improve your body so the mechanics that you need to create consistent ball striking more speed and the shot shape that you want becomes easier and easier and you can put it into practice and into play when you need to we have three main factors to look through in terms of how well you hit your drive number one is swing speed how fast the club head is moving through the ball how well you transfer energy around the body and into the club head is going to directly impact how fast the ball travels also and that's gonna mean you hit it further or shorter depending how fast you are factor number two is angle of attack are you hitting up on the ball are you hitting down on the bot that's going to directly impact not only the flight and the spin but also the curvature on the bar which we're going to talk about next but really you know as well as I do that with today's technology you want to be hitting up on the ball to get low spin with that high launch so it stays in the air forever we're going to work on it and we're going to help you do it and finally we are looking at Club face to path relationship that is how the club is traveling around your body and into the ball and where the face is pointing relative to that path far too often the biggest leak of power is the over the top swing the club works out across the ball with an open face you know you're getting that Big Slice okay so many golfers struggle with that you're not hitting as far as you can do we want to see the club traveling around the body and then relative the shot you want to see deliver the fits because the face is going to be roughly four to one in terms of where the ball flies curvature trajectory and final resting position so we need to be able to match that face up to the path to hit the shot that you want to see match that with the speed and your angle of attack and you become the one of the best drivers well watching this video let's leave it at that okay but we're going to talk about the draw and the fade and then we're going to help you to add the speed improve your angle of attack through your body mechanics and deliver the swing so you hear the shots that you want to see first up how do you hit a draw more golfers want to be able to hit a draw to get rid of that slice and also to maximize distance that'll be the first thing to sit if you are slightly slower or if you're not moving as well as you possibly could do you're probably going to be better off trying to hit a draw keeping the ball in the air for longer and therefore maximizing your distance if we're slow and we hit a slice we're increasing spin we're reducing the time in the air and that's not what we want to see okay so when we're going to hit a draw very simply we want to have the club traveling from in to out so that's a positive swing path for the right-handed golfer from behind your body is an exaggerated feel to outside of the ball we need to swing out and around and the face needs to be closing relative to the path okay without getting too technical the face needs to be closed to the path but not close to the Target otherwise it's going to finish left okay so that relationship is really important so if we work through the ball if the club is five degrees from in to out if the club face is then two degrees close from there you're going to see some great results if you start to see that face go outside of the path we're going to get into some trouble okay another quick distinction here that we've seen with hundreds of golfers before is the push shut okay if we're struggling with the slice typically it's going to start left and finish where to the right if you're swinging from the inside and the face matches the path you're going to hit it pretty flush but it's going to go to the right make sure when you're practicing you understand the difference between the slice and the push so you can make some real progress then we have the cut shot it's not a slice if you're a pro and you want to hit it in the Fairway if you've got a lot of speed we can then use that speed to control the flight as you see with players like John Ram hit it down the left cut it back use all of your body turn to control the club face hit a repeatable motion and just take out one side of the course all right if you've got two Ms it gets problematic seen it an awful lot of times yeah it gets pretty distressed but if we can get to a point where we know the ball is going to start down the left side of the hull if it goes straight it's probably going to be in play if it cuts back we've got all of the cars to then work on okay so that is why so many of the high speed players choose to hit a fit and the key for the best players there is that they can turn as hard through the ball as they want to and they don't fear hitting a hook you'll hear it from all different types of players from way back in the past of Hogan tiger seeing the ball hook is not good for any type of player specifically with speed all right I've seen that way too often if you hit an 880 mile an hour hook that balling coming back okay so that's where the FED really comes in we control the body control the face start the ball for the right-handed player to the left of the target let it fall back online okay so what the physical difference is here we know that technically the club is working into the ball in a different way but physically what's the difference okay with the draw what you'll feel is that as we clear the body the hands can release an awful lot more so what that gives a lot of golfers is the ability to add speed from that final lever which is the hands okay so if you're not moving the body that fast or if you're not using the ground as well as you could do get into the inside releasing the hands and adding speed through the ball to hit that draw is going to give you great results okay it's also going to be probably a little easier on the body because if we're not rotating and using the ground you can work towards that which we're going to help you do but right now let's hit that draw for the cut shot a high speed player can really stay centered use their powers of rotation and then put pressure down on the bottom okay we said about turning as hard through the ball as possible if we can do that while staying in our base and support using the ground maxing out your vertical lateral and rotational forces you can afford to not max out the equipment you can afford ball to hit down or much more neutral into the ball and add a little spin that a cut shot gives you because again the mechanics go so hand in hand with the technical you really need to optimize your flight to play your best golf okay so think of it like this with a draw we stay behind we let those hands go and we see that high ball flight with the draw maxing it out with the cut shot we're going to feel as though we pull the body through hands are leading a little bit more in that position we match the face to the path which is going to be out to win with a slightly open face and therefore we know where it's going to start and we keep that control on the higher end so there's the differences between a draw and a fit we want to add speed we want to hit up on the ball and we want to maximize our swing efficiency you know where that's made it's going to be in the gym we're going to head over there right now we've got two sequences one for those of you who are looking to maximize your ball flight with that high draw number two those of you looking for extra control and power through the ball with the cut shot simple movements extremely effective patterns and combinations this has got Fitness this is how you make progress so how do we improve rotation in the gym we're going to focus on two clear areas number one is range of motion and number two is functional control of movement basically your body has to have the ability to move and then you need to know how to control that movement pattern so we have two combinations here to do exactly that the first two movements start with the t-spine split stance rotations this is called the greatest stretch for a reason we're going to get down into a deep lunge position stretch catching out the hip flexors getting deep into the lower body we're then going to take a solid spinal position reach under our torso to rotate this through the thoracic spine and then create a big wide Arc around work in a fluid motion with control and try to increase your range of motion whilst always working both sides we're going to pair that with the bird dog this is about posture and core Activation so if you want to be stable over the ball and confident before you hit your drives you need to be in a good position here we take an all fours position Engage The Core maintain our neutral spine and then raise the opposing arm and leg to full reach full extension hold briefly whilst controlling your breathing then return and repeat on the opposing side this is slowly with control and is helping you to stay in position so your posture is always on point the second combination is much more around that functional movement and control we're looking at loading body and increasing your rotational patterns so you can do the same in your swing starting out with one of our favorite movements the rotational kettlebell swing this helps you use the ground rotate through the hips and then transfer energy all the way through the body through the big muscles into the extremities which again is just like our golf suit we're going to load into the ground push away so we get extension rotation and a little bit of lateral Force the power Trifecta of your swing we're going to peek up just at eye level and then as you rotate down accept the force use the ground and transfer that rotation into your body so you can use it whenever you need it and yes we'll work in both sides we're going to pair that up with the explosive impact Suite you can do this with bands or cables and it's an incredible pattern match this up with the rotational swings we really have something here so similarly we're going to push off that trail foot and this time we're really going to push into the ground with that lead leg to get that extension as we fire through the call and try and keep our hands low through that Exit face this is going to help you with your posture your rotational control and your ground force reactions whilst we rotate all day long to improve your golf swing potential this is how you can get your body moving more in a way to get the club on the inside to square up the face hit that draw and hit it further foreign we've put sets and Reps down in the description for you and this is a great place to get started if you want to rotate more improve your body and hit power drawers off the tee now if you're a faster player and you're looking for that control you want to hit that power cut like RAM and all the players on tour then we want to be looking at how we stair centered and max out our Ground Forces so we can apply pressure to the ball but control that club face and path relationship to absolutely send it out there knowing that it's coming back into the Fairway more often than not so as we talked about on the Range staying Center means our Center of mass stays within our base of support so if we can keep our body inside our foot line we can then drive out the ground and really create talk and access through the lower limbs okay we're going to work on that right here with two movements starting with the swing elevation drill you're going to want to band relatively light because we want to perform this with speed okay so we're going to work up and through the movement you're going to trap the band under the opposing foot take the arm work up and around your spine okay yes this is a golf swing motion but we're also looking to exaggerate that feeling of working up and across the system stretching the band for feedback and for increased speed and muscle activation as you work through that pattern yes work both sides we want to feel as though the body can rotate up around and in control so you stay centered and create more rotation and speed throughout the swing the second movement is the lateral lunge so here we basically build up the strength and the awareness to stay within that base of support as we work in a lateral immersion you can do this without weight or with a dumbbell or kettlebell in a goblet hold and the key here is to balance in the middle lunge out to the side and as you do so we load the glutes against the foot we stay inside that base and support and we push a whip huge fear Ground Forces huge for your stability and your balance repeat on both sides look for high levels of control in the middle there's a slight single leg pause and this combination of movements is going to enhance everything that you do especially if you want to play a power cut I said second set is all about speed and maximum acceleration out of the ground okay we're going to start out with the split stance Med ball slam here we go to that lower body air symmetry so we challenge how we take our balance and coordination through an explosive pattern and we work that vertical and a rotational Force creation you're looking to work through this here with speed with accuracy do not overload we're looking to really slam this down stay in balance and hit consecutive reps again we're going to work both sides so that our lower body knows how to use the ground how to balance and you can create speed and force and rotation all the way through pair that up with the rotational box jump okay you can start low here you can even do it without a box at all it's all about the torque and rotation into the ground and then acceleration and turn through the air so set yourself up side onto the Box we're going to load down into the ground Prime the big muscles work against the ground so you get those equal and opposite reaction forces we push into the ground to accelerate to where we turn 90 degrees in the air and we land solid every single time you can step down and take your time through the Reps or you can come down into a counter movement and use the ground in a fast twitch manner work both sides use the ground and Juice up your golf swing yes we have set some Reps for the theaters to get into the description and then get into the app we're gonna head back to the range right now with final thoughts make sure you know how to implement this how it goes into your game and how to golf strong so you know technically how to hit the shot that you want and now you know how physically to develop your body to allow you to do so one of the main fields to get these shots more efficient and more effective when you go play to hit the draw for me it's all about loading up on the way back if you make a full turn load into your Trail hip your Trail leg and against the ground the club is going to be working around the body much more effectively giving you a much higher chance of swinging from into out and then extending up to create a positive angle of attack at the ball releasing out for that high draw it's a big load big pressure into the ground get behind the ball and make that full turn for the cut it's really more about the feel through the bot okay mechanics need to be solid we need to use the ground create that pressure but as you go through the ball you really want to feel as though your lead shoulder and the chest are leading the club a little bit left for the right-handed player through impact so that you get that out to in swing path keep the face up and without flipping the hands and hit that burner cut in the Fairway deep all day long okay so this is how you get your driver moving it's still September we want to see exactly how far you can go okay so giving you what you need but if you want to take it to the next level go ahead get seven day free trial to the golf watt app get your training program get your practice your drills your Mobility all there ready for you to follow and make huge progress we appreciate your time make sure you subscribe to the channel tell your friends and golf strong yes
