This is how any golfer can gain up to 5 mph of Club head speed that's as much as 15 yards in just one workout we're going to help you improve your ground reaction forces that is when we load into the swing into the ground and then push to create maximal Club head speed we're also going to improve your hip rotation and how we transfer energy through the car with just two movements and all you need is one Med ball we're going to head to the gym we're going to get to work and then we're going to tell you how to put this into your game so you can see progress on the course right away we have a two movement combination and the first exercise is the Bulgarian split squat this is huge for single leg strength upper body positioning and that stability all the way through the lower body now you're obviously going to want to work both sides you need to be stable and strong throughout the body you can load this movement and the best option for golfers if you are more advanced is to do it with a crossbody alignment that means we're going to have weight on the opposing side of the body this enhances your ability to stabilize your rotation in the swing because the right leg is working whilst the left side is loaded with the weight high level core activation you're resisting that rotation and you're working through a full range of motion so that you're improving your body's performance and Longevity the real key to this combination is how we go from stability and strength into speed and rotation we got the split stance medball slam so we take that single leg stability we sit into the big muscles so we've got great posture you maintain that neutral spine and then we go from the inside of the body Elevate up and slam down really engaging the core so this really enhances your separation of the upper and lower body a huge power lever for your golf swing and we use the ground and we work on the sequence that you need in the swing you can do this repetitively and we want to move with speed as with the split squat we want to make sure we work both sides of the body so even on your weaker side in the opposing direction of your golf swing we need to be able to rotate and create speed so that we can also decelerate in the golf swing the more symmetry in the body the greater your performance and less chance of injury over t a perfect starter set for this workout would be three sets 20 split squats that will be 10 on each leg if you are loading use a weight that's going to allow you to get through the full range of motion and hit all 10 reps without break that means you maintain your form maintain your stability and create power every single rep when it comes to changing sides and to change in exercises look to reduce rest within the workout to ensure that you compound intensity and increase your progress over time rest at the top of the set and then go fresh each time so we've hit our t split squats we now step up into the med ball again trying to reduce time between movements we then got 10 reps over here five on each side super explosive try and minimize rest but maintain balance all the way through and really rip all the way through those reps rest 90 seconds between sets three times through so with this simple combination we have hit so many performance factors for your golf swing we talked about that connection to the ground the single leg strength and stability through to sequencing rotation and then transferring energy through the core all of those transfer to your swing incredibly well and quickly let's take it back to the course and see exactly why so how do we apply this to the swing first of all the cool thing with gol Fitness is that it's going to improve your swing anyway your physical capacity to hit the ball will be improved we add the technique and we add the awareness to deliver it more quickly in terms of single leg strength whenever we turn off the ball we are looking to load that trail side that's the single leg strength and stability and that's going to allow us to push back towards the ball you get the lateral you get the rotational and then you get the vertical forces that's the other side of this the vertical Force Through the ball is huge because we'll increase our ability to stay in that squat position into impact and then as we get to the ball like the best players do we can push into the ground use that strength and stability to snap the club head through the ball and create maximal speed you combine that with the rotational benefits of the red ball slam we're going to see the hips unwind into the ball without losing any power and then pushing out of the ground to transfer it all the way up the system the strengthening of the core also allows you to maximize the Energy Efficiency and that is why this combination is so powerful in terms of improving your swing so when you see it all come to fruition you're going to have more load more stability and then more power out the ground as you rotate it's going to deliver incredible results and you're going to hit better golf shots off the tea from the Fairway and all the way through 18 holes that is why you get it done and this is how you do it so that is how with just one workout combination you can add up to 5 mph to your Club head speed and see instant progress in your golf swing if you really want to
