Med Ball

Med Ball Transverse Slam

Rotational med ball slam across the body, building the hip and trunk speed that drives the club through impact.

powerrotation

Why it matters for golf

The transverse slam trains rotation in the plane the swing lives in. The hips fire first, the trunk follows, and the ball gets everything at the end, which is the downswing sequence under load. It builds rotational power a coach can watch improve rep to rep.

Coaching cues

  • Load the trail side, then fire the hips.
  • Let the trunk whip the ball down and across.
  • Full intent on every rep. No half slams.
  • Finish balanced over the lead side.

Common faults

  • Arms leading the hips.
  • Standing up and losing posture at release.
  • Soft effort. Power work needs full intent.
