Switch Stance Rotation

Trunk rotations performed while switching the stance between reps. Trains rotation from a changing base.

rotationbalance

Why it matters for golf

Changing the stance between rotations forces the hips and trunk to organize a new base every rep. That adaptability sharpens balance and teaches rotation to come from the hips instead of a memorized foot position.

Coaching cues

  • Set the stance, then rotate with intent.
  • Switch the feet, settle, rotate again.
  • Chest tall through every turn.
  • Balance first, speed second.

Common faults

  • Rotating before the new stance is stable.
  • Letting the turn come from the arms alone.
