Why it matters for golf

The Meadows row is a one arm row off the landmine sleeve from a staggered hinge. It builds lat and upper back strength one side at a time while the trunk resists rotation, a strong match for the posture demands of the swing.

Coaching cues

  • Stagger the stance and hinge over the bar.
  • Grip the end of the sleeve.
  • Row the elbow up and back.
  • Keep the shoulders square, no twisting to lift.

Common faults

  • Torso rotates open to move the weight.
  • Shrugging the shoulder instead of rowing.
  • Losing the hinge as reps add up.
