Bodyweight Squat
publicThe first movement in the DRVN Mobility Assessment — maps to Posture. It reveals how well a golfer organizes the body as a multi-joint system, accesses the hips, and stays connected to the ground.
Assesses: neutral spine control · hip mobility & range of motion · lower-body stability and ground contact.
Scoring (1–5)
| Score | What You'll See |
|---|---|
| 1 | Minimal movement; mostly a hip hinge with significant restriction through hips, knees, ankles |
| 2 | Short of parallel; some glute/hamstring engagement but still restricted |
| 3 | Parallel squat; hips and knees aligned, neutral spine, feet flat, eyes forward |
| 4 | Full squat below parallel; chest up, posture maintained |
| 5 | Full squat with club overhead; neutral spine, strong thoracic control, feet flat |
The overhead (level 5) variation adds a thoracic-mobility stress test on top of depth.
