Med Ball Split Stance

Med ball power work from a split stance, isolating clean rotation over a set base without a big weight shift.

powerrotation

Why it matters for golf

A split stance takes the big lateral shift away and forces clean rotation over a set base. That isolates trunk speed and teaches the golfer to rotate around a stable lead side. It bridges core work and full rotational throws.

Coaching cues

  • Set the stagger and keep both feet quiet.
  • Rotate through the trunk, not just the arms.
  • Stay tall through the release.
  • Train both sides evenly.

Common faults

  • Stepping out of the stance mid-rep.
  • Swaying instead of rotating.
  • Arms outrunning the trunk.
<!-- VERIFY against video: throw type not specified in the name; confirm whether this is a slam, wall throw, or press from the split stance. -->
