Why it matters for golf

Separating the upper and lower body through rotation and stabilising the lower body against the ground. This describes this exercise and the Golf Swing so prepare for some high level progress here.

How to perform

  1. Set the Band just above Hip height and take a Pallof Hold in a split stance.
  2. Drop down into a Lunge position and at the same time rotate the upper body over your lead leg.
  3. Stabilise at the bottom before returning to your start position.
  4. Work against the tension, focus on balance and accuracy and always work both sides.

Alternatives

The most simple option here is to work without the Band and use a Club instead, which is also an awesome warm up movement. Another option is to go to the Lunge with Club Hold Rotation to change the speed of this movement.
